Dear HR,

This weekend, how about some Bollywood fun? Yes, we are talking about popular flicks that leave footprints of entrepreneurial inspiration on our mind. Grab a bowl of popcorn and a notepad.

Manzil (1979): In this movie, the protagonist (Amitabh Bachchan), an employed man starts his own company with big dreams. But, his business falls prey to the competition and he becomes debt-ridden. The professional hurdles spill over his love life too. However, he refuses to accept the defeat. Rather, he accepts his mistakes, learns from them and goes on to prove his might to the world.

Guru (2007): This Abhishek Bachchan starrer, supposedly based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani, shows how your unwavering ambition, sharp business acumen and relentless hard work can bring you success.

Chak De India (2007):If you are seeking lessons on building team spirit in your organization, then you must watch this movie with your team. It’s wonderful to learn how the hockey coach (Shah Rukh Khan) motivates all players to overcome their personal and professional differences to achieve a common dream. For that matter, the Oscar nominated Lagaan would also make a great watch.

Rocket Singh, Salesman of The Year (2009): This movie starring Ranbir Kapoor strikes the right chord with the entrepreneurial fraternity. It’s just fine, if you don’t have academic degrees to boast about. But, if you know how to take risks, how to make co-workers believe in your vision and how to keep customers happy, nothing should stop the success from kissing your feet.

Band Baaja Baraat (2010): Co-founders of a startup share the same passion and vision to make it big. But, can they keep their personal differences apart? Can they make their strengths and weaknesses work in the favour of the organization? The duo team of of Shruti (Anushka Sharma) and Bittoo (Ranvir Singh) will teach you how.
